Super Austenitic

Super Austenitic and traditional 300 series austenite have the same alloy structure. The difference is to increase the contents of the chromium, nickel, molybdenum, copper, and nitrogen. This increase will improve the proterties of resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, and uniform corrosion. In some super austenitic stainless steel, the high nitrogen content provides the higher mechincial properties to be designed to thiner cross section than traditional 300 series stainless steel.  When the corrasion of the 316L, 317lL, and duplex stainless steel  is not enough or consideration of cost effect, the Super Austenitic stainless steel will replace some nickle alloy.
